Akarenga takes its name from the Japanese word for red brick.
We opened in October 2018, on the second floor of a red-brick building on Hallimjungang-ro in Jeju. The owner runs the place on his own.
Grilling, frying and simmering begin when you order. Salmon is cured with kombu and sake; croquettes are shaped by hand from freshly boiled potatoes.
